“Help, I’ve been removed!” Tips for Success in Federal Court
Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Noon to 1:00 p.m.
This seminar will provide state-court practitioners and young lawyers new to federal court a general overview of federal-court practice. It will cover how to get admitted to practice in federal court, how to navigate the federal and local rules, and the common missteps lawyers make in federal court and how to avoid them. The seminar will also include advice from federal judges and experienced federal practitioners on how to succeed in federal court. We are hosting this luncheon in partnership with the Jacksonville Bar Association and all members of the legal community are invited to attend at no cost. Lunch will be provided thanks to the lawyers and judges of the Middle District of Florida through the Middle District of Florida’s Bench Bar Fund. The luncheon will be in the jury assembly room of the Bryan Simpson U.S. Courthouse.
